I call baloney!

I was talking with a friend today who wanted to do something different with her hair. She was thinking strawberry blonde instead of her usual browns. I suggested maybe something red. Lol I know I am on a red trip at the moment. But anyway she has beautiful blue eyes and light skin so I think red would look awesome on her. I also suggested she mix it up a set further. Maybe grow out her hair instead of leaving it short. Add some curls. I think she would look so pretty. But she said she read some where that middle age women shouldn't have long hair that its better to have it short hair at her age. Why? When did we start listening to people? I say wear your hair how you want it. If you feel having long hair at 90 for example makes you feel beautiful and vibrant and alive then I say go for it. We live one life people. Don't stress to hard on what society says is expectable. Paint your own world. Do what makes you happy.

For all you good mama's out there

She’s a Mom

She’s a great mom.

She’s a good wife.

Her children and husband are her everything.

They are her life.

But she’s so much more than what she see’s.

She’s more than a taxi cab or a finder of lost things.

She’s more than a chef or a boxing referee.

More than an errand girl or “mom I need this please!”

But I know she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Its those little special moments that fill her day.

She’s Wonder Woman in their eyes.

A super hero that needs no disguise.

She can kiss better any wound or mend a broken heart.

She can repair anything that’s been broke apart.

And she does this every day.

She doesn’t let anything stop her or get in her way.

Just to see the smile on their faces.

To hear thank you mom and I love you.

That’s her pay.

They are what drives her to live everyday.

And that’s beautiful.

How can that be wrong?

She’s a mom.

Little Rag Doll

Little rag doll tattered and torn.

With patches on your dress and your hair a mess.

Scars you have many.

They are easily seen.

But don’t fret dolly, your life still has meaning.

Your future is clean.

Little rag doll, no more tears.

You have shed many throughout the years.

So cast away your fears and dance into the day.

Little rag doll its time to do what you were made for.

Little rag doll, its time to live!

Its time to play!
